This policy explains how Kate Jackson, REALTOR®, of eXp Realty (Jackson Real Estate) collects, uses and discloses personal information through katejackson.ca. We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, for email, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your answers when you sign up for the StatsPRO Trends Report: the areas you choose, whether you are working with a REALTOR®, what you are planning, your timing and your housing situation.
  • A record of your consent: the wording shown to you, the date and time, and the page you were on.
  • Details you provide when you create a Virtual Office Website (VOW) account to view sold listings, or when you contact us.
  • Technical information, such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
  • When your personal report link is opened, we record the date and an anonymized device identifier so we can detect misuse of the link.

Why we collect it

  • To create and send your StatsPRO Trends Report and monthly updates.
  • To respond to your questions and requests, and to provide real estate services you ask for.
  • To give you access to VOW listing and sold data.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and understand how the site is used.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Your consent

We collect, use and disclose your personal information with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. When you tick the consent box on a form, you agree to receive the report and monthly updates by email. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide the related service.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run this site and our communications, and only as needed for those services. These include our email delivery provider (Mailchimp), our automation provider (Zapier), Google (spam protection and email), our listing search and VOW provider (RealtyVis), our website host and analytics providers. We may also share information with eXp Realty and where the law requires it regarding FINTRAC assertions and the practice of real estate services.

Storage outside Canada

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or anonymize it.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for security, analytics and to make pages work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the site may not work as intended.
